| June | The program will be published in the Southern Methodist paper. You are encouraged to present the program before Sunday School the first Sunday in June. Then ask the church to give the Sunday School offering to the WMS for this cause. You can encourage everyone to dig a little deeper since the funds will be used for the SMC Scholarship Fund. |
| July | When we have a missionary family come home, we try to give them some money to shop for clothes. It has usually been at least 4 years since they were last able to buy some new things. We want our missionaries to be dressed like us as they come visit our churches - it is to glorify the Lord. |
| August | $1.00 per member. Funds are used for the general promotional work of the WMS Council. |
| September | Camp Summers & Manget is in Cameron (near Orangeburg) and Camp Three Forks Trail is in Seneca (near the Georgia line).     Both camps are supported by the Eastern Conference WMS. |
| October | The program will be in tghe Southern Methodist Paper. You are encouraged to present the program to the church.     All funds go to Missions. |
| November | Funds go toward helping our missionaries' children with their college expenses. |
| December | This would be a great month to send a contribution to Boys Farm, our approved Home Mission. |
| January | The Communicator is a publication of the Council WMS and Council President Carolyn Holland is the Editor. The Communicator is published quarterly from Foundry Press. Dianne Cochran is responsible for maintaining the subscription list. The Communicator costs $3.00 per person per year. |
| February | The program will be published in the Southern Methodist. You should present the program to your church, which provides a great opportunity to share the WMS and its work.     The offering goes toward the general operating expenses of Southern Methodist College (SMC). |
| March | We keep a room at SMC stocked with supplies where our missionaries can "shop" when they come for home assignment and when they are preparing to return to the field. Everything is there to set up house - from sheets and towels to cookware to dishes to trash cans to paper towels. Rose Maree Bunton of the Bowman Church is the primary caretaker. You can purchase supplies and take them to the Missions Supply Room yourself or you can send a contribution and Rose Maree will buy the things that are needed. When there are specific needs, The Communicator will print a list. |
| April | Each year we vote at our Annual Conference WMS meeting on a specific project relating to SMC. For the 2003-2004 conference year, we voted to raise funds to purchase a lawn mower. Previous projects have included the Library, accreditation costs, re-finishing the floors at Adden Hall. |
| May | Funds are used to aid in the education of students at SMC. |
